Hitler becomes Dictator

Adolf Hitler becomes
dictator of Germany on
March 23rd, 1933.

Hitler was able to take
advantage of the German
people’s desire for
stability after a
humiliating loss in WWI
and a major economic
depression.
Nazi Propaganda
One of Hitler’s most important means of
building support for his ideas and for the
Nazi party was through the use of
Propaganda.
 Hitler put Joseph Goebbels in charge of
making sure the German people were
inundated with information that
encouraged support of the Nazi party.


As Minister of
Enlightenment,
Goebbels had two main
tasks:
1) to ensure nobody in
Germany could read or
see anything that was
hostile or damaging to
the Nazi Party.
2) to ensure that the
views of the Nazis were
put across in the most
persuasive manner
possible.
