Brainwashing
By: Alex Morris
Korean brainwashing
Americans incarcerated in China begin to
show communist ideals.
Prisoners were given lectures and
interrogations on Communism.
Based on a token economy stay, prisoners, if
behaving well and communist-like, gain
better quality cells, more food, etc.
Physical and emotional treatment exhausted
the prisoners, creating a weaker mind.
Korean War
Hitler’s influence
It is relevant that the
Nazi party, under Hitler,
rose to power on the
shoulders of the youth.
He did this with
propaganda, appeals to
help the fatherland, and
special group activities
to spread belief
Cults and brainwashing
Psychological
manipulation is used is a
wide variety of cults.
Using either scare
tactics or “love”
bombing (showering new
members with lots of
love) to manipulate new
recruits
Charles Manson
A cult leader who manipulated his
followers and convinced them to kill
innocent people including the LaBianca
family.
Conclusion
It is obvious that brainwashing and
manipulation can magnify one person’s
authority over an entire crowd.
