• Prefabrication: to construct or assemble
beforehand
• Bonds: you loan (long-term) the gov’t $. They
pay you back with interest (extra $).
• Epidemic: a rapidly spreading outbreak of
disease

• U.S. had to supply a war across the Atlantic Ocean
– Exempted shipyard workers from the draft
– Prefabrication techniques = faster production

• War Industries Board: regulated prices of goods.
