IT Summer Internship-Associate Web Application Developer-Full Time Req Id 8321
Location: Information Technology - New Hartford, NY (HO)
Duration: 10-12 weeks starting 5/11/15
Number of Positions: 1
Duties and Responsibilities: Work with other members of the development team to develop the site
concept, design and architecture. Design, program and test the systems/programs to be used on the
Internet/Intranet by company personnel, agencies, insureds and the general public. Coordination of joint
activities with Information Technology staff to develop and maintain the Internet systems.
Create program code in various languages for the purpose of publishing to the
company Internet/Intranet. Limited knowledge of web site operating system to
include familiarity with Unix or NT/IIS. Design and develop advanced Internet
applications and e-business solutions using HTML, ASP, vbscript, and/or
JavaScript/jscript in conjunction with databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
Maintain the necessary data base information using SQL or Oracle to provide
information necessary for the various systems used on the Inter/Intranet.

Duties and Responsibilities: Complete development and maintenance of reports, views and services,
presenting and providing business information with Data Warehouse reporting toolsets (Oracle BI, Oracle
BI Publisher, SQL Developer). Develop and maintain database systems to extract, cleanse, transform,
load and maintain insurance information systems, using Data Warehouse data
movement toolsets (Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Data Integrator, Toad,
SQL Developer, JDeveloper). Execute appropriate unit and integration testing
prior to delivery of a solution. Help identify and troubleshoot issues related to
the database and the development environments using the latest technology.
Balance multiple priorities while effectively handling ad-hoc user information needs.
Maintain business knowledge of the customer data to provide content support and the
ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
