• Lenin establishes a dictatorship of the party not a
dictatorship of the proletariat (Marx pushed for)
• Lenin suffers a stroke in 1922, he survives but
competition begins to replace him
• Leon Trotsky & Joseph Stalin are the leading men
• Lenin dies in 1924, before his death he did not trust

• Lenin body is kept in Red Square in Russia
