- Allows software on cell phones to run
- Provides full-color user interface
- Includes software to combine features

- Examples: e-mailing, browsing,
calendar, data transfer

• Advantages of Python:
- open source
- object oriented
- extensive standard library
- modules can be extended using C or C++
- applications can be written quickly
• Additional Advantages of PyS60:
- can create standalone applications
- additional modules to access cell phone functions
like camera, audio, and Bluetooth communications
