01. Waldspirale(森林螺旋)
2
Friedensreich
• The Waldspirale is a residential building complex in Darmstadt,
Germany, built in the 1990s. The name translates into English as
forest spiral, reflecting both the general plan of the building and
the fact that it has a green roof. It was designed by Austrian artist
Friedensreich Hundertwasser, planned and implemented by
architect Heinz M. Springmann, and constructed by the Bauverein
Darmstadt company. The building was completed in 2000.

30 St Mary Axe, also known as the Gherkin, the Cucumber Building and the Swiss
Re Building, is a skyscraper in London's main financial district, the City of London,
completed in December 2003 and opened at the end of May 2004.[2] With 40
floors, the tower is 180 metres (591 ft) tall,[1] and stands on the former site of the
Baltic Exchange building, which was severely damaged on 10 April 1992 by the
explosion of a bomb placed by the Provisional IRA.[2][3]
After the plans to build the Millennium Tower were dropped, the current building
was designed by Norman Foster and Arup engineers,[4] and was erected by Skanska
in 2001–2003.

3. Habitat 67
16
• Habitat 67 is a housing complex and landmark located on the
Marc-Drouin Quay on the Saint Lawrence River at 2600, Pierre
Dupuy Avenue in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Its design was
created by architect Moshe Safdie based on his master's
thesis at McGill University and built as part of Expo 67.

The Egg is a performing arts venue in Albany, New York.
Named for the shape it resembles, it was designed by Wallace Harrison as part of the Empire
State Plaza project, and built between 1966 and 1978. It is located in the northeast corner of
the Plaza.[1] It has become an icon of New York's Capital District, due to its unusual shape and
central location.
The Egg is located in the northeast corner of the Empire State Plaza
The Egg is slightly inclined, and has a small pedestal on which it appears to sit. In fact, the
building is held by a stem that goes down six stories into the Plaza. Attached to this stem is a
concrete girdle that surrounds The Egg, enabling it to retain its shape and transmitting its
weight to the pedestal.[1]
The Egg houses two amphitheatres, the 450-seat Lewis A. Swyer Theatre and the 982-seat
Kitty Carlisle Hart Theatre.[1] It draws many performing acts to Albany, including music, dance,
and traditional stage presentations as varied as Henry Rollins, the Zucchini Brothers,
Emmylou Harris, the New York City Ballet, Perú Negro, Demetri Martin, They Might Be Giants,
Porcupine Tree and Hot Tuna. The Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company has been resident at The
Egg for more than ten years.
They Might Be Giants wrote a 2004 song entitled "The Egg" about the venue.

5. The Crooked House (彎曲屋)
30
•
Szotynscy Zaleski was heavily inspired by the children’s illustrations
created by Jan Marcin Szancer for fairytales and by the artwork of
Per Dahlberg. The home features three stories and is built with the
surrounding buildings in mind to give it the feel as though it belongs
in the area but perhaps melted or sagged out of exhaustion.
Located in the Rezydent shopping center in downtown Sopot,
Poland the Crooked House has become the most photographed
building in the whole country.

6. Basket Building(菜籃大樓)

Once you've correctly immersed yourself in Longaberger culture by visiting
Longaberger Town, Longaberger Homestead (r), shopped at all the Longaberger
Stores, and become a Longaberger Representatives pyramiding out to convert
more and more middle-aged women into the Longaberger Lifestyle, at some point
you MUST make your pilgramage to the Longaberger Headquarters to deposit your
Longaberger Party Orders in the big Longaberger Order Drop Basket in the 7 story
Longaberger Basket Building (tm).
Or, if you're just studying World's Largest Things, you can be completely amazed at
the culture around this set of visions of a basket-filled world.
The Longaberger Basket Building (tm) is a truely impressive example of Mimetic
Architecture, and relatively recent at that. It was the brainchild of the Longaberger
Empire Founder Dave Longaberger, whos biography was a recent hotseller in the
inspirational story market. One of his pithy sayings was proudly parroted by our
enthusiastic host: "If they can put a man on the moon, they can certainly build a
building that's shaped like a basket."

7. Community Bookshelf (社區書架 )Kansas city Library
43

8. Guggenheim Museum (古根海姆博物館,西班牙)
Located in Spain's northern Basque region and designed by the architect Frank O.
Gehry, the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao is built on a 32,500 square meter site in
the center of city. The exterior of the building is a combination of interconnecting
shapes. Blocks of limestone contrast with curved forms covered in half-millimeter
thick "fish scale" titanium panels. The main stone, glass and titanium curves were
designed with the aid of computers due to their mathematical complexity. Gazing
upon the massive museum, visitors feel as if they are looking not at a building, but
a huge sculpture with the city of Bilbao serving as a backdrop. That this sculpture is
really an ingenuously designed, and utterly practical building, is an unparalleled
example of modern construction.

9.Ferdinand Cheval's Ideal Palace(理想皇宮)
58
• Ferdinand Cheval (born 1836 in Charmes-sur-l'Herbasse, Drôme,
France; died 19 August 1924) was a French postman who spent
thirty-three years of his life building Le Palais Idéal (the "Ideal
Palace") in Hauterives. It is regarded as an extraordinary example of
naïve art architecture.

10. Dancing House(舞房)
64
Vlado
• The Dancing House (Czech: Tančící dům) is the nickname given to
the Nationale-Nederlanden building in downtown Prague, Czech
Republic at Rašínovo nábřeží 80, 120 00 Praha 2. It was designed by
Croatian-Czech architect Vlado Milunić in co-operation with
Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry on a vacant riverfront
plot (where the previous building had been destroyed during the
Bombing of Prague in 1945). The building was designed in 1992 and
completed in 1996.
