General Information
• 2 Lots – approximately 1 acre/4,000 sq. m.
• 1500 feet from Playa
• Awesome Views
– Nature reserve behind property (although not a “protected reserve” – there is a difference
in Costa Rica). But no building of any sort is supposed to happen there.
– Lots of Congos and Iguana. Have seen anteaters.
• Two buildings and Georgeous Pool

What I refer to as the main house, is an open floor plan. Aside from kitchen and bath (separated by
counter or door, respectively), everything is one big room – enough for storage, king size bed, dining set,
“living room area” seating with desk, and other furniture).
2nd building has 2 units – the upper level which has been refurbished and the lower level that is being
used for storage. Currently, no pictures of second unit, but ½ of it has nice ceramic floor tiling and the
bathroom has updated sink and toilet.
Currently, main building water is municipal water and 2nd building is from large cistern (which has an
awesome 360 degree view if someone were to venture climbing up the ladder rungs).
Pool is larger than most residential pools – the deep end and continuous breezes keep the temperature
more modest – patio is large and the ranchero includes sink and brick BBQ
• Many fruit trees: limon, tamarindo, mango, cashew, platino

The Tapia, large stone and iron steel fence,
has three “gateways.” The small one, seen
in this photo is a smaller gate. There is a
gate to the parking area that is wider and
taller than a standard 2 door garage
(meaning the parking area can easily
accommodate 2 vehicles). The 3rd gate is
double doored and opens at the far left of
the property (at least from the perspective
of this photo). The remainder of the
property is fenced off with chain link.

Pool
The above photo is of one my dogs (that has since
died). The idea of this photo is to show the pool
steps (5 in total). They allow for easy access. In
general, I have one of the largest and deepest
pools in the area. When everyone else has a pool
with very warm water, this one is still cool. The
steps also allow for young children to have a place
to play in the water without getting into it over
their heads. At the far end (toward the ocean, is a
kitchen area with a cement counter/sink, built in
brick BBQ (for use with wood and/or charcoal).
Pool pump house is below the kitchen area.
Ranchero woods are all extreme hardwood (from
either Costa Rica or Nicaragua).
Interior of Main House
SW view. Lots of window and awesome view – pool, pacific,
trees, open sky, the list could go on forever. As you can see,
there is a back patio. It has storage space, including a place for
washer and dryer.
This view is to the left of the “dining area.” It shows where my
bed and closets are. To the right is the door from parking to
main house.
This is open area that I use for dining. As you can see, there is now
storage rea – which didn’t exist previously. Sorry about the mess, I was
packing for a trip. The back patio is on opposite wall of this view.
Main house kitchen – small but functional. This photo needs to be updated
to show additional shelving on wall to right of refrigerator. Plus, the
storage below counter has been modified to include drawers and doors.
Exterior/Interior of 2nd Building
View of 2nd building from backyard, below ranchero area. There
are 2 units, one on the left (upper level) and one to the right
(lower level). Upper level has been updated and refurbished.
View of main living area Long narrow room with new tile flooring.
View of walkway from parking area to upper level of 2nd
building. Walkway has since been repaired.
View from one pf the windows in the main living area.
Interior of Upper Level in 2ndHouse
Kitchen in upper level of 2nd building
1st bedroom in 2nd building. Queen sized bed with nightstands.
Shelving for clothing, etc, at opposite end of bed.
2nd bedroom upper unit. Sorry, using it for
storage right now. Has two bunk beds
Kitchen in upper unit has small rerfi-freezer.
Unit for storing dishes/ cookware. 4 burner
range/oven are an optional inclusion. Electric
upgraded to new sockets, separate fuse with
220 current running to the upper level. There
is a small “window” (approximately1 .5 feet by
2.5 feet) in each of the bedrooms to the main
living area. These allow for much greater cross
breeze. As you walk into the door to this unit,
there is an open cement floored area that can
be used for dining or whatever and the kitchen
is to the left.
VIEWS
A Sunset view from the playa
Looking Southwest from pool ranchero
Buckus, my oldest dog, and me at Playa This is a fairly private playa. It is
wedged between two large outcroppings that separate Playa Gucalillo and
Playa Bajamar. When tide not high, can traverse from one playa to next and
there are a lot of wonderful small grottos to explore.
