• Most have never been to
college. Being an
orthodontist’s assistant is on
the job training so most
started doing is right after high
school. Assistants are the
ones that actually do all the
putting on and the tightening
of braces. 'Certified
Orthodontist Assistants’.
Dr. Oltjen
 He graduated from
Kansas State University.
He then attended dental
school at the University of
Texas at San Antonio. He
earned his orthodontic
degree along with a
Master's in Science from
the University of
Oklahoma.

There are around 12 people working at a time, each
working around 32 hours a week. Dr. Oljen and Dr.
Hannah work more.
An assistant sees around 90 people a day, depending
on the location. Dr. Oltjen or Dr. Hannah see everyone
that comes in because they need to check the
assistants work
Everyone moves around various locations. There’s six
different ones, Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Paola,
Atchison, and Emporia. They move around 3 of them,
depending on the day The doctors move around
between all of them.
OP is open Mondays and Wednesdays
Olathe is open Tuesdays and Thursdays
Lenexa is open Tuesdays and Fridays


