• The Torah God promised Abraham his people would

• Because of this the Israelites thought themselves to
be gods chosen people
• This promise was later renewed by Moses. He told
them God would lead them to Canaan if they obeyed
God faithfully

different parts of the world

their heritage alive!
• They also continued to obey their religious
laws, worship at temples, and follow their
traditions.
