How to Collect Good Data
Using Hardcopy Questionnaires
Allow
them to complete the questionnaire in private.
Emphasize confidentiality by providing an envelope
with the questionnaire.
Have
them hand it back to you sealed.
Ensure that you won’t see it and that the researcher will not
be able to identify them.
Nothing should be written on the envelope.
Using Online Questionnaire
Provide
the link. Assure them that it’s confidential.
Contract
To receive the credit, sign the contract.
The contract obligates you to recruit two participants to
complete the questionnaire.
You will be turning in nothing with your name attached.
If you are not willing or able to do this, do not sign the
contract.
All questionnaires will be free of identifying information.
In short, you are giving me your word that you will
uphold your part of the deal, and I am trusting you. If
you sign, do your part.
