Condition in which a person has
blindness paralysis or other nervous
system. System that cannot be explain
by medical evaluation
Can occur because of a psychological
conflict or may being suddenly because
of a stressful experience.
 People are more at risk for a conversion
disorder if they have any other illness
disassociate disorder or a personality
disorder.

Ten girls out of a classroom of 26 became
unable to walk or move normally
following tetanus.
Tetanus inoculations : a disease caused by
bacterium that enters the body through
wounds.

A women who believes it is not
acceptable to have violent feelings may
suddenly feel numbness in her arms after
becoming so angry that se wanted to hit
someone. Instead of allowing herself to
have violent thoughts about hitting
someone she may experience the
physical symptoms of numbness in her
arms.
Blindness
 Inability to speak
 Numbness
 Paralysis

Talk therapy
 Stress management may help reduce he
symptoms
 The affected body part or physical
function will need or occupational
therapy until symptoms disappear


Ex: Paralyzed limbs must be exercise to
prevent muscle wasting.
These usually last about days, some even
up to weeks.
 It may suddenly go away.
 They aren’t life threatening.
 Complication may be weaken


it could be dangerous?
