due to bad dreams)

objects that are related to
the tragic experience
• Feeling depressed, guilty,
worried, and numb.

To Be Diagnosed
• After talking to a doctor, they (the doctor)
can diagnose you based on your symptoms.
• A person will be interviewed and notes will
be taken based on their responses so they
receive proper treatment based on their
symptoms and feelings.
To Treat PTSD
• Talking with a psychologist is the most
affective way of treating PTSD.
Additionally, some medicine can be
prescribed. The combination of these too
things can also have beneficial results.
Interesting Facts
• Almost one-third of rape victims suffer from
PTSD at one point in life.
• Contrary to what most people believe, rape is the
leading cause of PTSD, not war.
• PTSD can enhance a persons senses, meaning
certain smells, things they see, and things that they
hear can trigger memories that give them anxiety.
