• Space is a place with no air.
• If you are away from the sun it is not too
bright.
• If you are close to the sun it is not too dark.
• Space never ends.
• No person ever found the top of space.

cold? Well… it is very rare to go to space but at
least you get to see space pictures like the
ones on this Slide Show.

• Sometimes it is boiling hot in space (depends
on if you are close to the sun or not) and
sometimes it is freezing cold in space (if you
are far away from the sun.)
• There are black holes in space.
• There is no air in space.
Earth
• Earth is the only planet in the universe that
has Living things (air, plants, animals and
people.)
• Earth is made of all kind of different rocks.
• Earth is the third closest planet from the sun.
• Earth is the fifth largest planet in our Solar
System.
• There is air on Earth.
Saturn
• Saturn is a planet like all other planets. But,
Saturn is not made of rock but is made of gas.
• Saturn has a big ring around it.
• If you look at this picture, you will see Saturn
and it’s big rings around it.
• Galileo Galilei was the first person to see
Saturn’s rings.
• People believed that a moon crashed around
Saturn and that’s why it has those rings
around it.
Moon
• The moon is made of rock and in real life it is
grey.
• The moon is billions of years old and was
created before people existed.
Jupiter
• Jupiter has all kinds of warm colors. Warm
colors are: red, orange and light brown.
• Jupiter the planet is the fifth planet from the
sun.
• Jupiter is the biggest planet in the Solar
System.
Pluto (Not A Planet Anymore)
• Pluto used to be a planet, but is not a planet
anymore.
• Pluto used to be a planet but was the smallest
planet of all. Plus, people said it should not be
a planet anymore.
• Pluto rotates in an oval. Nobody is really sure
if a meteoroid hit it or not but there is a
reason why Pluto rotates in an oval.
Mercury
• Mercury is the closest planet to the sun and is
boiling hot on Mercury.
• If you put anything that we have on Earth it is
going to melt.
Venus
• Venus the planet, is the second planet from
the sun.
• Venus is the sixth largest planet in the Solar
System.
Mars
• Mars is the fourth closest planet to the sun.
• Mars is the seventh biggest planet in the Solar
System.
Uranus
• Uranus is the seventh planet from the sun.
• Uranus is the third biggest planet in the Solar
System.
• There are 11 rings around Uranus.
Neptune
• Neptune is the fourth largest planet in our
Solar System.
• Neptune is the eight planet from the sun.
• Neptune is blue if you look at this picture.
Sun
• The sun is not a planet, but it is very hot.
• If you were to threw something in the sun, it
would melt.
• The sun is very hot. It is hotter than a stove!
Solar Eclipse
• A Solar Eclipse is when the moon gets right in
front of the sun.
Lunar Eclipse
• A Lunar Eclipse is when the moon is on the
opposite side of the sun.
Venus Eclipse
• A Venus Eclipse is when Venus gets in
between Earth and the sun.
