The Incredible Planets
By

Mercury
Mercury was named after a roman messEnger. People
think it is the hottest planet ever, but they’re wrong!
Venus
Venus was named after the Roman
goddess of love. Venus really doesn’t
have any moons, but it takes my
breath away! (That means it is
beautiful.)
Earth
We know about Earth already so there isn’t
much to say besides we live on it, but take
care of it.
Mars
Unlike most planets, Mars has the biggest
volcano in the Milky Way. (The Milky Way is
our solar system.)
Jupiter
Jupiter was named after the Roman king
of gods! It is also 300 miles across!
Saturn
Saturn is one of the biggest planets
around. Its rings are made of ice,
dust, and rocks.
Uranus
Uranus is really a unique planet. It is the
only planet that rotates on its side!
Neptune
Neptune was named after the Roman god
of the sea which is maybe why cartoons
say that too!
Pluto
Pluto is really not a planet, but I had to say
something about it! Hey, that was something.
Dwarf
The planet is …..Eris! Eris can get to
-360 to -480 degrees C. BRRRR!
