make one orbit.
Mercury is a bare and
rocky planet with
deep craters.
Venus is surrounded
by think clouds that
reflect the light from
the Sun.
Sometimes people
refer to Venus as
Earth’s sister planet
because it’s closer to
Earth.
Venus and Earth are
about the same size.
Earth is the third
planet from the Sun.
The Earth is a ball of
rock almost covered
by oceans.
A year on Earth is 365
days long.
Mars is only about
half of the size of
Earth.
It is very cold on
Mars.
Mars is nicknamed
the Red planet.
Jupiter is the 5th
planet from the Sun.
It is the largest planet
in our solar system.
The red dot is a storm
on Jupiter.
Saturn is the 6th
planet from the Sun.
Saturn is the second
planet in the solar
system.

It has four or more
rings which are very
narrow and difficult
to see.
