To graduate, a student must pass all of the EOC assessments taken in each
content area.

The 5 EOC assessments are:
• English I, English II
• Algebra I
• Biology
• U.S. History.
•
Students not meeting the testing requirements in April/May will have the
opportunity for tutoring in June and retesting in July even if a student passes the
course.

Dual Credit
• Dual Credit courses are courses that receive high school and college
credit and are open to students entering their Junior or Senior year.
• To be eligible to enroll in a Dual Credit class, students must have a 7.0
overall grade point average on a 12 point scale and must pass the
Texas Success Initiative exam.
• Dual Credit courses are offered during the school year. Many are also
offered during summer school.

core areas beginning in the 11th grade
• You will earn 150 CAS (creativity, action,
service) hours
• You will write an extended essay of 3500-4000
words
• You will need to turn in an enrollment request
form to your counselor spring semester of 10th
grade year
• Try to complete your PE and fine arts by end of
10th grade.
Points to Remember
• Course selections will be locked in on
the day you register in the computer
lab. You will need to see your counselor
after this date to make any changes.
• NO ELECTIVE CHANGES AFTER
THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL HIRING IS BASED ON PREREGISTRATION NUMBERS.
