Take 2 classes of the same World language (sequential order) during
your four years in high school. Colleges/Universities really like this!
Community Service – Get involved in your community. Volunteer to
help those in need. It reaps a lot of benefits.
Prepare for the PSAT/NMSQT.(The Preliminary SAT/National Merit
Scholarship Qualifying Test) Take it serious. Colleges want you and
this is a good way to get them to notice you!
Discuss your future plans with your parents, counselor and teacher.
Research different college/universities and their programs. Visit the schools
you are interested in. Attend the local college fairs.
Talk to recruiters if you would like to join the Army, Navy, Air Force or
Marines. Research the different branches.

• Explore your options!
• Talk to Mr. Ireland (Career Specialist) about your
career goals. In February, he will be coming into
your class (likely English) to talk more about the DE
option
