The instruction in the general
education setting at the secondary
level should be determined by
whether the teacher is certified in
the core content area.

specialized instruction MUST be
provided for these students.

Hours

Hours must be earned after completion of
all components of the AOD curriculum.
AOD students can earn hours during the
summer after their exiting year to complete
the minimum 270-hours requirement
– A minimum of 135 of the 270 required hours
must have been completed during the regular
instructional year.
– Must have personnel to supervise student
