Course- class

Requirement- a course you have to take

Pre-requisite- what is required in order to take this
course

AP- Advanced Placement

Elective- a class you can choose (Visual Arts.
Performing Arts, career and Technology Education)

Credits- number of “points you need for each course
that will ultimately satisfy graduation requirements

Semester- one half of your high school year. A course
will either be offered for one semester or a whole year.
Grades will be distributed each semester.

GPA- an average of your grades over a given
semester, year, and/or 4 years of high school

