

Report Cards (every 9 weeks)
Interim Report Cards every 4 &1/2 weeks
Tutoring (with student tutors in the National Honor
Society (NHS) Coordinated through Guidance/Teacher)
 After school Tutoring each evening, different subject
Pass all courses, credits accrue as does CumGPA

 Family Consumer Science--.50 Requirement of the Class of 2017
Electives –8.5 or 9 (dependent on class status)

Keystone Exams

 Students are required to participate in the state
mandated Keystone Exams in the areas of:
 Biology
 Algebra I
 English Literature
 Exam scores are listed on your Academic Transcript
 Students in the Class of 2017 must earn Proficiency in
all three areas: Biology, Algebra I & English Literature
 The High School’s Overall State score is comprised of
the individual student scores
NCAA Requirements

 Students interested in participating in Post-Secondary
Athletic play at a Division I or a Division II School,
carefully select your Core Courses.
 All Courses listed as Academic, Honors, or Advanced
Placement Courses are considered NCAA approved
 Core Courses not listed as AP, Honors or Academic may
not be considered NCAA approved.
 Please check for the NCAA designation in the Program of
Studies and Home Access Center for the Approved
Courses when making your course selections
 Gaining and maintaining excellence on the playing field,
in the classroom and when taking the SAT is Required.
Core Curriculum

 Choose courses that reflect your ability to learn, grow and
challenge yourself
 All students have the potential to earn 8 credits each year i.e. 4
years high school, 8 credits each year = 32potential credits earned
 Core Credits that are not successfully passed in the present year
will be rescheduled unless a summer school course credit is earned
 Career Technology Students may have varying course credit
requirements
 Any Career Technology student who does not successfully pass all
of his/her courses will not be eligible to return to the Career Tech
Center the following year and will be rescheduled as a non-Career
Technology student

Requirements for English 11 and 12
Academic English Grade 12

All Academic students who are not
taking The AP English Literature &
Composition course must take:
British Literature (.50 credit)
AND
Cultural Literature (.50 credit)
 One English Credit must be earned each year to meet
the Credit Requirement
English Grade 12

All students who are not taking an
Academic English are required to take:
 World Literature or British Literature (.50 credit)
AND
Cultural Literature (.50 credit)
 One English Credit must be earned each year to meet
the Credit Requirement

 Students earning an A/B+ average in Honors
Mastering Literature and are Recommended by their
English Teacher may choose to take AP English
Language and Composition as their 1 credit required

would like to take, under the Request
Column.

4. Once you have scheduled 8 credits, you are
now ready to select your alternate courses.


The next step allows you to pick the
preference of courses, should you not be able
to schedule the original 8 credits that you
picked in the last step. Right now your
screen should have 8 credits in the Credits
column and 0 in the alternative column.

 You will need to select at least 3 credits of alternative
classes for you electives. i.e.
“If I don’t get this class, then I want this one….”
 Click on the Add/Edit Courses button for the
department that you are going to add the alternative
to.

 Check the box beside the course that you
are choosing as your 2nd choice
 Then choose the course that will stand as an alternate
 In this example, I am requesting 3 Dimensional Design as
an alternate to Advanced Design
 Click Save, when you are finished
On-line Scheduling in
School

You are able to complete your on-line scheduling
both at home and at school.
Counselor Availability in Computer Room 24 on
Monday, March 2nd through Friday, March 6th
All Schedules must be complete by 12:00
midnight, Friday, March 6 th on the home access
center.
