Most of my friends call me
Carl
Friends- Close group and
others from very large high
school, my roommates, people
I’ve met at Penn State. Family
and friends are the most
important
Family- One older brother, 29,
two older sisters, 25 & 23, I
live with my brother and the
younger sister, very close
with all of them,
Employment- Landscaping
since early age, also my major,
entrepreneur. Plan on going
into business for myself.
•Interests/RecreationUltimate, golf, traveling
and the beach, meeting
new people, weekends.
•Politics- Conservative
and love politics, doubt
I’d ever run for anything,
global scale politics tend
to infuriate me so I try
not to talk about them.
Artificial intelligence and
computers
• Robots and computers can do activities beyond our
limits. (ex. Space probes & travelling across
continents, etc.)
• Examples:
– NASA Develops Robust Artificial Intelligence for
Planetary Rovers
– Virgin Galactic

Social Networking
• Society’s ability to connect others in real time is rapidly
expanding. This increases networking opportunities and
facilitates a more connected world.
• BIG Examples:
– Facebook: Solidifies identity with profiles, connects friends
across distances, shares pictures, videos, statuses to keep
others up to date.
– Twitter: Ultimate real time information sharing tool.
Thoughts, news, opinions, ideas spread faster than ever
before.
– Four Square: Helps friends meet up by sharing locations and
coordinates social gatherings.
• This relates to my career agenda because I hope to help
further connect the world with technology.

Continental Airlines has invested $12 billion dollars on 270 new aircrafts
as well as new equipment
Reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 1.2 million metric tons
Winglets and new fan blades that dramatically improve efficiency and
reduce drag
Aside from fleet, the airline has cooperated with various governments
to plan more efficient flight paths, constantly implementing new
technologies, use LEVs (Low emission vehicles), facilities are being
transformed to LEED certified buildings as well as switched to
electronically powered ground equipment cutting nitrogen oxide
emissions by 75
Boeing is continuing to supply orders for its 787 Dreamliner which is a
long-distance aircraft that is an incredible 20% more efficient than its
similar sized adversaries
The 787’s primary structure is composed of 50% composite material and
its single piece fuselage which reduced the need for about 1500 sheets
of aluminum and about 50000 fasteners, along with new design styles
that make the plane lighter and thus much more efficient
