these are the ‘Digital Natives’ of the new media.

into one device, making it easier to reach audiences. For
example, Facebook can now be accessed through a mobile
phone, rather than just the internet, meaning that adverts that
are on the website can also be seen a lot more often from the
youth. Often, these adverts are personalised because the
device has stored cookies, which look at what has been
searched, and therefore, Facebook puts relevant adverts up
personalised to the audience.
This means that the adverts would be more effective to a youth based
audience if it was something they were interested in. Also, as the
youth’s device is their own, the only adverts that pop up will be ones
personalised to them, therefore meaning that the adverts may have
more of an effect.
