Individual Heredity – The Genetic Code

Mechanisms of Inheritance
• Single gene-pair inheritance
– Dominant gene = dominant trait
– Recessive genes

– Recessive traits: homozygous recessive
– Dominant traits: hetero or homozygous

Chromosomal Abnormalities
