Evolution – A theory in crisis
• Pseudo science, at best just a hypothesis
• New findings disprove evolution
• Scientists cannot agree on hows, means
• Evolutionists formulate their conclusion,
then look for missing data.
• This is not a science vs religion debate
Creation
• God created everything – Space, Time,
Matter, Energy
• Based on revelation from God – First
chapter of Genesis.
• Why ? Because of the will of God
• Man created in the image of God
Darwin’s Theory of Evolution
• Development of life from non-life
• Complex creatures evolve from simple life
forms naturally, slowly, over time
• Uses natural selection, survival of fittest,
mutation
• All life forms are related and descended
from one common ancestor
How did it all begin?
• There is no scientific law that allows
something to evolve from nothing.
• If nothing to begin with, nothing could
happen to cause anything to appear.
• Evolutionist duck this issue
• Explosion from nothing – Big Bang
Creation of Universe
• Finite universe, an initial beginning
• Law of causality disproves ‘big bang’.
• What was it that banged, what sparked it?
• GOD fits the criteria
Life from non-life ?
• Evolution cannot explain how life
spontaneously generate from non-life
• Primordial Soup Theory on production of
amino acid, not tenable.
• Simple molecule->cell stages are complex
• “Spark and soup“ experiments of the 50's
Life from non life - Probability
• Best case probability of single protein to
be arranged by chance - 1 in 10,261
• For 239 protein mols, 1 in 10 to pw 119,879
• 10 to pw of 119,831 years to obtain this
protein by natural evolution
• This is > estimate of age of earth, 4.6 B yrs
Laws of Thermodynamics
• 1st – Matter and energy can neither be
created nor destroyed.
• 2nd - Things in nature always tend to
dissolve and breakdown as time passes
• Entropy of the universe must go up. Life
(high state of order) cannot develop on its
own.
Micro and Macro Evolution
• Macro – From one species to another.
Science cannot prove this
• Micro – Variation within kind
– Selective breeding
– No new information in micro evolution
– Microbes resistant to Penicillin, an eg.? No
Fossil Records – Missing Link
• Transitional fossils absent.
• Steady progressive change of one kind of
thing into something completely different,
is not seen in fossil records.
• Fossils don’t show ‘developing’ organs
• ‘Living fossils’ have been found
Natural Progression - No
• The fossil record also shows a sudden,
inexplicable appearance of a wide variety
of both simple and complex life-forms.
• The Cambrian Explosion
• Eyes from spots on the skin ?
• Bacteria today vs those 3.5 B years ago
Fallacies of natural selection
• Reptile to mammals evolution
• Reptile to bird evolution
• Cetaceans (whales, dolphins) intermediate
forms cannot survive
• Many un-related species can fly, all from
different ages
Mutations not progressive
• Mutations do not result in gain in genetic
information, just rearrangement or loss
• Most mutations produce inferior offspring
• Single cell to complex : massive genetic
information gains
DNA Double Helix
• Establishes physical characteristics.
• An exquisite language composed of 3 B
genetic letters, has to be precise.
• Gene, a segment of DNA provides info to
organism to build or do something
• Change to this info corrupts organisms
• Evolution cannot explain information
New studies disprove evolution
• Molecular machines
• Irreducible complexity – eg: flagellum
• 10 mil species, 100 mil protein varieties
• 3 Billion units of DNA in chromosome
• Yet to discover a molecule that can copy
itself

list of vestigial organs in humans has
shrunk from 180 in 1890 to 0 in 1999

Age of Earth/Life argument
• Genesis vs scientific study
– Young Earth advocates : Scientific study not
absolute here
– Day-age interpretation of Genesis
– Hebrew word ‘yom’ can mean different
lengths of time
Scientists speak out

Intelligent Design (ID)
• Origin of the universe and of living things
are best explained by an intelligent cause,
not an undirected process
• Modern form of argument for the
existence of God, modified to avoid
specifying nature or id of designer
• Prop by US creationists (Discovery Inst.)
The Intelligent Designer
• We know the designer
• We have an authentic witness – The Bible
• Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created
the heavens and the earth.
• Gen 1:31 And God saw everything that he
had made, and, behold, it was very good.
