Fiber Introduction
• An optical fiber ( optical fibre) is a flexible,
transparent fiber made of high quality extruded glass
or plastic, slightly thicker than a human hair. It can
function as a waveguide, or “light pipe”, to transmit
light between the two ends of the fiber.
How the signal travels in optical fiber
Signal goes ahead through reflection in the glass pipe. So it can travel very fast.
The speed is very close to the light speed.
The normal use of optical fiber
Because it can Conduct electrical signals.
It is used in many places, like the phone
And the internet.

• In1998, the Licht'98 was held in Germany,

lighting system
Many people like sunbathing, but we all know that the sunlight is not a single

Because they are different lights, when they reflect inside the optical fiber, theirs
rotation angles are different. So at the end of fiber we can just let the visible light
