Monitoring of Programs by Pakistan
Engineering Council through Engineering
Accreditation Committee
 Zero Visit (6 Months before the launch of the program)
 Outcome: Green signal to launch engineering
program or program is not allowed to start
 1st interim Visit (End of 1st year of start of program)
 2nd Interim Visit (Start of 3rd year of program)
 Accreditation Visit (Start of 4th Year of Program)
 Confirmatory visit if there are still weaknesses in the
program in terms of:
 Faculty
 Infrastructure
 Curriculum specially Lab work
Conclusion
 Every University has to follow unified
curriculum
 Tough PEC regulations have played major
role of deterrent in mushroom growth of
engineering Institutions
 Pakistan enters into the Washington Accord
 It would facilitate mobility of engineering
graduates and professionals of Pakistan at
international levels.
