Office is Different The place in which business, clerical, or professional activities are conducted. It’s the room in which the paperwork of a business is dealt with. It is the place where you mostly do paperwork! Similar Both the cell wall and the office protect either the cell or the office where the people work. They support their environment by seeing what comes in and out. Cell Wall is different The Cell Wall is the outermost layer found in plants. It helps the cell membrane. It also protects the cell from being shapeless. It saves the cell from getting any viruses! A factory in a business is like a Ribosome in a cell. Factory is Different The factory is a building where workers manufacture goods or supervise machines processing one thing into another. The factory is a warehouse where they have heavy equipment used for assembly line production. They gather and concentrate resources: workers, capital, plant, etc. Similar They both produce and manufacture They both have their little “workers” Ribosome is different The Ribosome functions, as the site of protein manufacture. The organelles serve as the protein production machinery. Sometimes the ribosome just floats in the cytoplasm, or can be attached to the outer surfaces of the endoplasmic reticulum! The custodians in a business are like a Lysosome in a cell. Custodians are Different Simila r Helps keep the environment clean and not dirty. The custodian picks up all the trash in the building. They clean floors, restrooms, windows, etc. When waste appears they both go to work. Get rid of waste. They help keep the area clean. Lysosome is different The job of the lysosome is to get rid of all bad/access material. They digest materials taken into the cell from the outside. The digested materials are incorporated into the same membrane-bounded compartments as the lysosomal enzymes. The Cafeteria in a business is like Chloroplast in a cell. Cafeteria is Different Feed the employees. Cook food for the students or workers. Where meals are bought or brought from home and eaten. Similar They both produce food. Chloroplast is different They conduct photosynthesis. Absorb light energy. Split water and release oxygen. The Sales Department in a business is like a Golgi App. in a cell. Sales Department is Different Obtain and process orders They use promotional techniques like advertising They provide products to sell Similar They both receive things. They sort the merchandi se. They send it out. Golgi App.is different Receives, sorts, modifies and dispatches protein. Forms other things like sweat and saliva. Functions in the formations of secretions within the cell.
