Tzamarelata is located in the north of Kefalonia. It is a quiet, rural village,
serene , only 7 minutes from the cosmopolitan area of Fiskardo.
MYRTOS BEACH
Myrtos Beach is the trademark of Kefalonia. It is located in the northern part of
Kefalonia and belongs to the municipality of Pilaros. Myrtos Beach is 8 km from Agia
Efimia, 3 km from the village Divarata and about 30 km from Argostoli. The landscape is
simply unmatched. Green rocks that result in quite a long beach with white pebbles and
turquoise . It has been voted one of the best beaches in Greece and the world. Every year
Myrtos is being awarded from the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) with
the blue flag.
FOKI BEACH
Foki Beach is just next to Fiskardo,
therefore it is easy accessible by
walking.
The name comes from the frequent
appearance of the monk seal
(Fokia in Greek) Monachus
Monachus.
The popularity of this beach comes
mainly because of the beautiful
location, since the beach is mainly
covered by big pebbles and rocks.
Several trees are covering the
beach, offering nice shade.
ASSOS
In the northern part of Kefalonia lies a beautiful village, Assos, belonging to the municipality
of Erissos. The village is built like an amphitheater around the peninsula, surrounded by pine
and cypress trees awaiting the visitor to discover it. It is a traditional village which has
retained the traditional Ionian architecture for the most part. The astonishing attraction of this
village is its castle, which was built in the late 15th century to protect inhabitants from pirate
raids
AGIA IEROUSALIM BEACH
The beach of Agia (Saint) Jerusalem is very close to Fiskardo, in a small creek divided into
two smaller ones by a big rock. The beach was named after the small ruined chapel
standings on the side of the beach. The crystal clear waters are the home to many seahorses.
The sunsets on this beach are spectacular.
FISKARDO
 Fiskardo is located in the north of Kefalonia. It is the best place to make day trips
to Ithaca and Lefkada, since it offers a ferry connection as well as a large marina
if you are a boat owner. It is the most cosmopolitan area of Kefalonia with
excellent hotel facilities, superb restaurants and a large variety in nightlife.
Despite its cosmopolitan profile, the architectural tradition of the island is kept
unaffected. In Fiskardo one will be amazed from the preserved houses with red
tiles and small balconies with colorful railings.
