Location
• Deserts cover about
one fifth 20 per sent
of the earths lane
area.
• Some Deserts get
both very hot during
the day and very cold
during the night.
• The biggest Desert is
the northern Africa's
Sahara Desert .
Landscape
• In the desert it has
rocks and sand.
• It has a few or less
trees.
• In the desert they
have cacti.
Plants/Animals
• The black tail rabbit
inhabits all deserts in
the southwest.
• It lives in the
Australia.
• Its underground dens
are to 5 feet 1.5m
long.
Animals
• Dromedary camel
• The hump contains
fat and no water .
• The dromedary camel
can go with out water
for 3 days.
• Baby's are born with
out a hump.

• Western gecko
• Banded geckos are
abundant in the
deserts.
• Geckos contain
about 80 groups and
about 700 species.
• Wall climbers such as
Hemi act and geckos.
Fun facts
• Antarctica is the
worlds largest cold
desert .
• Deserts receive less
than 16 inches of rain
per year.
• Only 20 percent of the
deserts are covered
in sand.
