Desert Climate
• The temperature range is about 20-25 degrees
Celcius in most hot and dry deserts.
• It does not rain much at all in deserts… less
than 30 cm a year in most. It snows in cold
deserts.
• It is hot and dry in the summer and cooler at
night with clear skies.

• There is sand in most deserts. There are not
many plants. The soil is coarse in some
deserts.
• There are mountains in some deserts.
Interesting Facts
• There are deserts in every continent but
Europe.
• There are cold deserts in Antarctica.
• It is very chilly at night in deserts because of
the clear skies.
Living Conditions
• It would be hard to live in the desert because
of the hot temperatures during the day and
cold at night.
• There is limited food and water.
How to survive
• You could eat rabbits and the grasses. We
found water by getting it from a cactus.
• Our shelter would be a small tent.
