What is the difference between a
Crystal and a Gem?
Crystal
Gem
The difference between a crystal
and a Gem is that a Gem is more
of a shaped stone, and each and
every Crystal has it’s own shape
and it’s own model, to it.
By that I mean, Gems have more
of a shape to them, then crystals.
What determines the color of the
Gem and how does the Gem
sparkle?
The bend of a mineral and the way the light
bounces off of that bend.
Each shape in a Gem bends, as the light
bounces off of the bends it creates a
different color.
Fun Facts to know
There are more than a hundred different
crystal shapes.
The largest supplier of diamonds is
Australia, it supplies one quarter of the
worlds needs.
Gems that are worth the most have little or
no color.
