• Lunch at Matthessien State Park
• The Park through the eyes of a geologist:
– Surficial processes: erosion of the canyon,
slope failure, glaciation, flooding
– Rocks: sedimentary rocks, fossils, EOD, glacial
erratics
– Structure: strike & dip, LaSalle Anticline, fault,
joints
