S-1 Pendidikan Kimia
Basic
Competency:
1.1 Understanding atomic
structure based on Bohr’s
atomic theory, properties of
elements, the relative atomic
mass and periodical properties
of elements on the periodical
table, realizing the periodical
trend by comprehension of
electron configuration
Instructional Objectives
Students should be able to:
1.Classify the elements into isotope,
isobar, and isoton.
2. Determine the amount of proton,
electron, and neutron from an
element

Isotope
•Is one of two or more species of an
element atom having the same atomic
number (Z), but differing in mass
number (A)
•Beside that, elements that classificated
into isotope have same device atomic.
• A X Z with A X Z
Isobar
• Is atom which come from different
element but having same mass
number(A).
•
A
X Z with A Y
Z
Isoton
• Is atom which come from different element
but having same the number of neutrons (n).
• Neutron (n) = A – Z
• A X Z with A Y Z have amount of same n
Ion
• Is atom or atom corps which is charged.
• Amount of proton and neutron at ion same
with amount of proton and neutron at neutral
atom.
• Amount of proton is determined by value Z
• Amount of neutron is determined by value A
Amount of electron at ion:
• Amount of electron (Σe) at ion is
determined by formulas:
Σe = A - charge
