Why is Gold Important?
• In the past it was used by: South Americans,
Asians, South Africa, Egyptians, Greeks,
Romans and Chinese
• In the past, it was used to make jewelry and
money
• Uses: Jewelry, finance, electronics, computers,
dentistry, medical, aerospace, awards,
glassmaking, fighting cancer
Interesting Facts
• Gold was the first element known to man
• Pure gold is 24 karats
Conclusion
Gold is not only beautiful, but is has
many important uses as well. Did you ever
realize how many important uses gold has
and how many times you use gold?
