Molecules and Ions
Atoms in molecules share (covalent) or
steal (ionic) electrons to bond.
Stolen electrons lead to attraction of
unlike charged ions (ionic bonding)
Directional electron “clouds” lead to
molecular shapes.
Molecules can be ionic as well as atoms.
