Gas emissions
CO2 is emitted
mostly from
vehicular
usage.
As shown in figure 4, over half of the greenhouse gas produced
around the world comes from the burning of fossil fuels, majority of
it being burned in vehicles such as trains, planes and automobiles.
The United States Energy Information Administration also provided
that from 1993-2015, 44.9% of oil usage in America goes towards
gas for cars, 22.9% for diesel and 9.5% in the form of jet fuel. That’s
over 75% of oil usage going towards transportation vehicles, which
accounts for the increase in CO2 emissions.
Examples of
legislation
already in
favor of
Electric cars
and mitigating
climate
change.
 The Kyoto Protocol: Suggests that policies should be made to tax
people that emit CO2 from their vehicles.
 The Paris Agreement: A United Nations bill to bring countries
together to fight the threat of climate changed.
Conclusion
 Climate change has been proven to be a threat to human lives due
to rising sea levels and many more threats to the worlds ecology.
CO2 is contributed to have the highest effect on climate change
and most of CO2 emitted comes from vehicle usage. In order to
mitigate the negative effects of Climate change Legislation should
be passed to force transportation manufacturers to produce
vehicles that use electricity powered engines.
