like oxygen – to live.

The air holds in the heat
coming from the Sun.

help keep the Sun’s heat
in our air.
But if we change the air,
then more heat might stay
and it could get too hot!

Two of the most
common greenhouse
gases are:
Carbon Dioxide
and
Methane

We create greenhouse
gases when we:
• Drive a car
• Run farms
• Heat our homes
• Run factories
• Fill the garbage can

and that’s a problem.

This melts our ice and raises
sea levels.
Less snow & ice to reflect the
Sun’s rays back into space.

Oceans help our environment
by acting as a “sink”.

gases changes our oceans
and makes them unhealthy
for fish.
