Conclusions
The three topics [climate change, disasters, migration] are distinct
Climate and disasters have their own global convention
Migration was discussed in the context of climate change and
disasters, but not vice versa
Migration is only recognized because of the economics

Recommendations
Good adaptation on climate and disasters will mitigate migration
All three are global phenomena with regional impacts requiring
local solutions. To be able to act, we need: awareness,
understanding and capacity building on the social and
environmental situations at the local level
All three require multi-sectoral, inter-institutional and disciplinary
bridging, yet the scientific disciplines, institutional mandates,
planning processes and policy frameworks for each are separate.
Better coordination and cooperation is required.
Complexities at thematic level are high, but progress is essential,
so WHO WILL TAKE THIS FORWARD?
