• Cross political party working since the early 1990’s.

Working Group led by Executive and Overview & Scrutiny
Members and reporting directly to the Executive.
• Proactive support for Local Agenda 21 voluntary group.
• Target of 50% improvement in energy efficiency in
Council buildings by 2010.
• Target for self generation of Council power requirements
of 100% from sustainable sources including 20% from
renewable sources by 2010.
