International research co-operation
Candidate countries associated to the FP will participate under
same conditions as EU Member States
FP6 will be open on the project level and on the basis of mutual
benefit to the participation of entities from third countries and of
international organisations for scientific co-operation
A budget of 315 Meuros is devoted to international cooperation involving developing countries, Mediterranean
countries, the Western Balkans, Russia and the Newly
Independent States (NIS).
Another 285 Meuros is earmarked to finance the participation
of third country organisations in the Thematic priorities

resources and mobility to fund research training for thirdcountry researchers in Europe
