The situation(From different
angles)

Factories avoid a lot of
greenhouse gases into the
air. Nowadays, almost all of
the surface of the Earth is
polluted by these
greenhouse gases. These
gases are harmful to our
health.Also, cars disperse a
lot of greenhouse gases.
U.S.A. has the most serious
problem of cars dispersing
greenhouse gases. As you
see, the situation is very
serious now.

The possible problems

Human can not live in the earth
The global temperature is increasing and climate
changes make human more difficult to survive. Human
can’t live in a very high temperature situation. So, if
the global temperature continue to rise, human will be
extinct in the future.
Also, as the global temperature is increasing, icebergs
are melting and the sea level is rising. Perhaps water
will cover all the lands on earth, and the eco-system
will be totally destroyed.
If we don’t stop polluting our earth, it
will be like this.
The underlying problem

When the Earth’s
average temperature
is rising, it’s likely to
influence the rainfall
and storm
patterns.How can we
produce less pollution
that will release to the
atmosphere in Hong
Kong?

disaster!
Global warming


Global warming is the
key part of why is
climate change formed.
Global warming is the
result of burning fossil
fuels, due to increasing
human activities.
Greenhouse gases
traps the heat from the
sun and the Earth

become hotter.
which is the most important factor of climate
change
Global warming

Because the global
temperature is
rising, icebergs and
snows are melted.
If the global
temperature
continues to rise at
the current rate, in
50 or 70 years
later, in summer,
there will not be
any ice cape in
summer at the
North pole.
Compare the two counties ‘ numbers of
glaciers, they are all decreasing. This
means the seriousness of global warming.
Brief Introduction of
Climate Change


Climate change is
the result of global
warming which is
the result of
greenhouse effect.
Roughly saying, the
summer becomes
longer and winter
becomes shorter
every year, because
the Earth is getting
hotter each year.
Most place on earth is hotter that the
average.
Brief Introduction of
Climate Change

Global warming is
the key part of
why is there
climate change, as
we have
mentioned. We
have to act to
produce less
greenhouse gases.

Brief Introduction of
Climate Change

If the water level keep increase, the sea
water will flood into the low lands.
Not only the lengths
of the seasons have
changed, but also the
height of the water
levels. The Victoria
Harbour’s water level
had risen at an
average rate of
2.3millimetres in the
past 50 years.
The analysed facts and
results

There are more and more
typhoons and tornados in
the U.S. in 2004. There
were 1,717 tornados in the
U.S. in 2004 and it break
the old record. In the year
2001, there were only
1,236 of them. Japan also
has set the all time record
for typhoons of 10, which
the old record is 7. It was
said that it’s impossible to
have hurricanes in the
south Atlantic but the same
year, a hurricane hit Brazil.

The analysed facts and
results

The power station
is the main source
of greenhouse
gases. It occupies
21.3% of the total.
Most of Greenhouse
gases is carbon
dioxide which is
72% of the total.

The analysed facts and
results

Variations of
Carbon dioxide
concentration over
the last 400,000
years is showing a
unusual rise since
the industrial
revolution.
The solutions






Replace regular light bulbs with
compact fluorescent lights.
Different kinds of compact
Drive less, or drive only if necessary. fluorescent lights
Recycle household waste.
Use less hot water. It takes a lot of
energy to heat up water.
Avoid products with a lot of
packaging.
Turn off electronic devices when
leaving a room or your home.
(There are many other ways, it’s only
a part of it shown in above.
Remember that everyone can help

save the environment!)
Action Plan



Plant the plants so that
we can produce less
greenhouse gases.
Less using electrical
energy and rely more on
renewable energy
sources,so that the
quality of air will be
better.
Switch off the machines
which use electrical
energy when you do not
need it,so that we waste
less electrical energy.
If we follow this plan, our future is as
bright as this!
Recommendations for our
government



Use a part of the surplus of one hundred
billion in Hong Kong to change all the truck
into trucks that can match up with the Euro
4 standard.
Build nuclear fusion power plants (a
technology presently far from development)
and encourage car buyers to buy cars that
run on hydrogen.
Replace the old machines into new
machines that are efficient but also
environmental friendly in factories.
Recommendations for our
government


Install the same type of
streetlamps in some of the
European countries, by
reflecting the light came from
the cars’ headlamps.
Plant more trees, but the
same time, save the trees!
There are hundreds or even
thousands of trees planted in
the road side but, to be
honest, there are not enough
surface of soil exposing for
water to get into the soil in
order to water the trees.
Removing much of the
concrete around the trees will
be perfect.
