Call for proposals:
"Use of Renewable Energy Resources in
the Household Sector (1st round)“
(from 28 January - 24 March, 2011)
Use of Renewable Energy Resources in
Household Sector
The objective of the call was the reduction of
greenhouse gas emissions in the household sector by means
of supporting purchase and installation of micro generation
technological equipment for production of thermal energy or
generation of electricity (hereinafter - equipment) in
residential houses for the purpose of production of thermal
energy or generation of electricity from renewable energy
resources and providing heat or electricity supply exclusively
for household needs.
Financing:
The financing of the financial instrument available
within the framework of the Call (hereinafter - financing) was
11 399 481 Lats (about 16 284 972EUR)
Within the framework of the call the maximally
permissible support intensity of the financial instrument could
not exceed 50% from the total eligible costs of a project.
Within the framework of the call the maximum amount
of resources of the financial instrument available for one
project application was 7000 Lats(10 000EUR).
The technological equipment supported by the Call:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
chip boilers straw boilers biomass pellet boilers wood boilers biomass fireplaces -
with a total installed
capacity to
50 kW inclusive.
The technological equipment supported by the call (I):
•solar collector systems - to 25 kW inclusive:
The technological equipment supported by the Call (II):
•heat pumps - to 50 kW inclusive:
The technological equipment supported by the
Call(III):
•solar cells - to 10 kW inclusive:
The technological equipment supported by the Call(IV):
•wind generators - to 10 kW inclusive:
The technological equipment supported by the Call (V):
•Combination of several different technologies
The eligible costs of the projects:
1.Cost of equipment producing renewable energy: purchasing,
installing, connecting and tuning;
2. Installation costs of the control system;
3.Work costs directly related to the supported activities (For
example: construction costs of the wind base, work costs of
installation of heat pumps, including drilling costs).
ZREA activity:
•Written and approved 38 project applications (attracted
funding from Climate Change Finance Facility about 100
000Lats – about 142 000 EUR);
•Attracted several companies that supplied and installed
equipment.
