Scottish Biomass Support Scheme
A new scheme aimed at promoting the biomass
(primarily wood fuel) sector in Scotland
Supporting local economies by creating sustainable
green jobs
Contributing to renewable energy targets
Maximise carbon savings
Amounts/Timescales
£7.5 M to be committed and spent by March
2008
Maximum grant of £400k – (unless exceptional
circumstance)
Support for both installation and supply chain
infrastructure
Open for Business
Formal application (from mid/late December)
(applicants can register interest now.)
All applicants will be assessed competitively
against agreed set of indicators
Support available at all stages.
Successful applicants will be those which provide
best value in relation to the programme overall.
