 We qualify as a school to receive federal funds
under the Elementary & Secondary Education Act
(ESEA) as amended by the No Child Left Behind
Act (NCLB), Title 1, Part.
 Title 1 Program: School staff members work with
input from parents and community to develop a
plan, in order to upgrade our entire educational
program.
 Title 1 eligibility is based on the enrollment of
students from low-income families.

COUNSELOR
A school counselor works with students, teachers, parents,
administrators, agencies, and mental health professionals to assist
children in learning optimally.

 Every parent receives a parent/student handbook
that outlines all of the rules and norms of Snyder
Middle School as well as the Bensalem School
District.
 Our goal is to prepare students for BHS as they
progress towards young adulthood.
Attendance

 Absent notes are due within 3 days upon the student’s
return (We do not use the “blue cards”)
 Absences maybe declared as illegal/unexcused if absent
notes are not received within a 3 day grace period.
 Students are late after 8:05 (3 lates = detention)
 Pre-approved vacations during the school year maybe
approved for up to 5 days
