Start with an image editing program
1.
Convert or save scans or images to a TIFF File, 200-300
DPI, no compression.
2.
Try and remove as much foxing, discoloration, etc. from
the scan.
3.
It helps to save them as a black and white (or grayscale)
image.
4.
You may have to go back and redo the editing process.
For instance, you may get better results if you use
something like a “sharpen” filter in Photoshop.
Not a whole lot to look at…
Open an image
Read an image or batch read a group of images
Results
An error. Sharpeye read this in the
key of B, when it’s in the key of E.
Basic Sharpeye editing tools
• Left Mouse Button EDITS
• Right Mouse Button INSERTS
• Shift Left Button SELECTS a number
of notes
Inserting a missing note in a chord, use INSERT and
the “Add Head to Chord” command…
Save as a MIDI file
