• In June 2009 AABE-NYMAC invited elected officials and
community leaders to a tour of Con Edison’s Learning
center hosted by Mr. Kevin Burke, CEO for Consolidated
Edison Company, Inc.

Informing our Communities
• Participated in NYS Senator Eric Adams “Cradle to College
Forum at Medgar Evers College
• In partnership with The Alliance of Black Professionals
AABE-NYMAC hosted a video conference on the impact of
climate change in our communities
• AABE-NYMAC Chapter President Bill Suggs represented
the Chapter at the Rosa Parks Association Democratic
Club community meeting where he spoke about AABE –
our mission an our goals.

Accomplishments
• AABE is well known as an organization committed to our
communities
• We will increase the number of students attending the
Summer Energy Academy from 10 to 20 students this year
• The number of scholarship applications more than doubled
