 160 institutions working on curricular and related issues
 Encyclopedia of Earth (EoE)- online, peer-reviewed
 In 2008 began in climate change education project
after presentation by John Holdren of Harvard

• Funded through NASA’s Global Climate Change
Education Program in June 2009
• Created 11 educational modules using NASA data
• Pre & post surveys, assessments
• Made these available through the EoE
• Received major funding through NSF’s Climate
Change Education Program October 2009
• Climate Adaptation, Mitigation, e-Learning –
CAMEL
• Online Learning Community

• Over 1,400 resources categorized in 200+ topics
• Resource types include:
• Syllabi, single-topic lessons, case studies, datasets
• Video compilations – including from NSF
• Background articles from EoE which are peer reviewed
• Multidimensional search capabilities
• More than 600 community members
• Each can post their own material
• Can provide comments on any item
• Can create their own “course” containing anything
from the EoE or CAMEL
