Comic Creator
Classroom Resources | Grades K – 12 | Student Interactive | Writing & Publishing
Prose
Comic Creator
The Comic Creator invites students to compose their own comic strips for a variety of
contexts (prewriting, pre- and postreading activities, response to literature, and so on).
* Students can choose the number of panels for their comics. They could do
one panel for each STEM station visited with speech bubbles to explain what
they learned.

The Flip Book is designed to allow users to type and illustrate tabbed flip books up to ten
pages long. Students and teachers can use the flip book for taking notes while reading,
making picture books, collecting facts, or creating question and answer booklets.

Letter Generator
Classroom Resources | Grades K – 12 | Student Interactive | Writing & Publishing
Prose
Letter Generator
The Letter Generator is a useful tool for students to learn the parts of a business or
friendly letter and then compose and print letters for both styles of correspondence.
I think this one is very easy to
use. Students can share their
experiences with family member
or friend in the form of a letter.
- Can save or edit
- Can add colorful border
before printing
- Also has instructions for
addressing envelope

Postcard Creator
Classroom Resources | Grades K – 8 | Student Interactive | Writing & Publishing Prose
Postcard Creator
The Postcard Creator helps students learn to identify all the typical parts of a postcard, and
then generate their own postcard messages by typing information into letter templates.
After printing their texts, students can illustrate the front of their postcards in a variety of
ways, including drawing, collage, and stickers.
I really like this one!
This is very similar to the Letter Creator but
students are asked to create a caption and
description for the front of their postcard.
Students must create original artwork for the
front of the postcard AFTER it is printed. There
is NO DRAWING TOOL with this interactive.
Students will need to think ahead about what
they will draw for the front.

Stapleless Book
The Stapleless Book can be used for taking notes while reading, making picture
books, collecting facts, or creating vocabulary booklets . . . the possibilities are
endless!
* There are a variety of page layouts for this interactive. However, there is NO

Theme Poems
Classroom Resources | Grades K – 5 | Student Interactive | Writing Poetry
Theme Poems
Formerly known as Shape Poems, this online tool allows elementary students to write
poems in various shapes.
• This may be better suited for
younger students.
• The nature category has possible
shapes to match some of the STEM
sessions- cloud, raindrop, sun,etc.
• Students are asked to generate
words associated with the theme.
• Students could write facts or brief
summaries instead of poetry.

Big Huge Labs
https://bighugelabs.com/
Students could contribute articles to a
class magazine about STEM DAY. As a
class, design the magazine cover and
list student article titles. Use a class
picture for the cover.
Great way to recognize an “Ask Me”
student! Display their picture,
name, and goal.
These would be fun
for biographies!
