Muscle Recruitment
I. Amount of weight
one can lift is
determined by 3
factors:
1. How much fiber
you are able to
recruit
2. How strong and
dense the fibers
are
3. The efficiency of
your technique
II. Muscles get nutrients from food through oxidation
Fueling muscle with proper fuel is essential for max performance
Red and White Fibers
White
Fast twitch-generally
found in sprinters,
tennis players, etc
Red
Slow twitch-line men,
long distance,
endurance
(Red and White are
hereditary)
